Police Explorers

Police Explorers (associated with the Boy Scouts of America) are students interested in law enforcement careers. Explorers receive uniforms and specialized training in police work.

Explorers requirements:
- Be age 14 to 21 Maintain a C average or better in school
- Pass a criminal background check
- Participate in weekly meetings
- Volunteer for community events

Explorers are taught and tested on police skills by participating in a 3-day statewide competition at Breezy Point near Brainerd, Minnesota. Every other year they attend a national conference.
