Emergency Management

The city of Coon Rapids has an Emergency Management structure that cooperates with other local communities, Anoka County, the State of Minnesota, and Federal emergency management organizations. Emergency Management works to:

  • develop and maintain emergency operation plans
  • test and maintain public warning systems
  • provide educational information to the public
  • respond to and manage emergency and disaster incidents
  • drill and conduct exercises in preparation or prevention of real disasters
  • coordinate response and relief efforts with other agencies and resources
