Police Citizens Academy
The Police Citizens Academy is a free program offered by the police department each fall as an educational tool to show the public the role of modern law enforcement. Participants learn a variety of topics and participate in lectures, demonstrations, tours, ride-along, and hands-on exercises.
Each session will commit to meeting approximately 3 hours, one night a week for 9 weeks (27 hours total). At graduation, each participant will receive a certificate of completion from the City of Coon Rapids.
See the information bulletin for more specifics and requirements. You may print out an application to be mailed mailed or dropped off at the Coon Rapids Police Department. Application deadline is close of business, Friday, August 19, 2013. The 2013 Police Citizens Academy begins September 11, 2013 and ends November 06, 2013.
