When do I have to pay off an assessment?
You do not have to pay off the assessment immediately. Assessments are not levied until adopted by City Council. A portion of the assessment will be collected with your Anoka County Property Taxes based on the amount and terms (typically 3 or 10 years). Assessments can be paid in full upon adoption by the City Council, and within 30 days of adoption in order to be interest free. If you decide to pay off the assessment any time after the 30 day interest free period, please contact the City's Assessing Department (763-767-6446) to obtain the current balance owed.
